However, he used a conciliatory tone at times when addressing Russia’s relations with Ukraine and Georgia in the marathon appearance that lasted some three hours. US Secretary of State John Kerry recently traveled to Moscow to try and bridge the gap between world powers the US and Russian Federation on the issue. Turkey said it acted after the Russian jet entered its airspace and ignored repeated warnings, while Russia says the plane on a bombing mission in Syria never crossed the border.
