Despite the optimism expressed by Putin on the ability to reach a cooperation deal soon, French sources told Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper that “it is still early to discuss about an agreement” although the US and Russian Federation are “heading in the right direction”.

Republican presidential contender Donald Trump has said he’d be willing to cooperate with Russian Federation to defeat Islamic State because the us has “bigger problems than Assad”.

Vladimir Putin said Russian Federation and the US are close to striking a deal on fighting terrorists in Syria, potentially a major step toward ending a civil war that’s flooded Europe with refugees and helped give rise to Islamic State. “I don’t think they are setting the best example”, he added.

The Bloomberg report noted that Putin, who has won praise and a pledge to improve ties from Trump while facing attacks from Clinton, stuck repeatedly to his position that he has no preferred candidate and would work with whoever wins. Putin told Bloomberg News in an interview Thursday. Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server during her days as the secretary of state continues to hang over the Democratic presidential nominee as a dark cloud.

At the same time, Russia has come under attack by viruses linked to USA and United Kingdom intelligence services, Gostev said, adding that hacking efforts from China against Russian defense and nuclear agencies have intensified in the past year.

“Does it even matter who hacked this data?”.

Putin pointed to Russian Federation keeping 40 percent of its currency reserves in euros as evidence that it wasn’t in his country’s interest for the 19-member bloc to “collapse”. The resulting attacks, he said, are part of “the USA political culture”.

“In any case”, Putin said.

Putin said that Russian Federation had no stake in either the Democratic or Republican nominee and criticized both for using what he called “shock tactics”, seeming to refer to the two candidates’ sometimes brutal attacks on each other.

“You know how many hackers there are today?”

“Japanis not ready to drop its claims to the islands and Russia will by no means recognise them”, Russian political analyst Konstantin Kalachev said.

“If North Korea abandons its nuclear programme and chooses the path to openness, we, together with the worldwide community, will be ready to actively support it”, Park said. “I’m not sure that even our Foreign Ministry experts are sensitive enough”.
