Putin suggests Medvedev as top Syria negotiator

Putin views his willingness to intervene directly in the Syrian quagmire by turning the crisis in that country into a lever of influence that will provide Russian Federation with a position of strength vis-à-vis the West and aid it in easing the pressure leveled on it due to its policy in Ukraine. Western sanctions have apparently failed to blunt his ambition.

Western officials who pronounce themselves puzzled about Vladimir Putin’s intentions in Syria are missing a few big clues. “But we are to blame, we are now an empire of chaos”, the director said. He is suing Russian Federation for $12 billion. The directors of three subcontractors were later arrested on corruption charges. The point is, they complement each other and their dynamics could reinforce the thrust of the Russian regional diplomacy. The construction of the space center will give Russian Federation its own facility for manned space launches. “It is obvious that autumn has arrived for Putin”. Primakov, among his other achievements, was an advocate of the “great power balancing” school of thought which stated that the USA could not be trusted to respect Russia’s legitimate security interests. Putin rebuffed them, awarding Kadyrov a medal after the hit.

“These people are hostages to their crimes – basically the whole establishment – and they need someone who will at minimum represent their interests. I am not making this up”, he told a VTB Capital forum of bankers and investors in Moscow.

Archer Putin’s second target aims at a closer and more mutually-beneficial relationship, both economic and militarily non-confrontational, with Continental Europe; something which is rather hard given the forced influence that the USA exerts over its “captive” allies dating back to the end of World War II.

“In these situations, you see nothing and then all of a sudden it goes”, the diplomat said. Political analyst Sergei Stankevich, a senior expert with the Anatoly Sobchak Foundation says yes: “If Russian Federation shows readiness for a full political settlement in Syria, the West could accept her as a partner”.
