Q2 Weather: Some ups and down in the weekend weather
Tonight should be mostly cloudy with a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after midnight.

Today in the Knoxville area, expect sunny skies with highs in the lower 90s. Overnight temperatures will be in the low- to mid-60s. Afternoon winds increase to 15 to 25 miles per hour. After a cool start in the 30s and 40s, highs will hit the 70s to low 80s Saturday.
It will be sunny on Monday and Tuesday, with highs in the mid- to upper-70s.
Starting Tuesday we start to see our weather pattern shift.
Sunday remains at or warmer than average with a highs in the 70s to low 80s. Lows in the upper 50s. Showers end Sunday morning with cooler highs in the upper 80s.
Wednesday night: Mostly clear with lows in the mid-60s.

Now for the coming weekend, models want to keep the 30-40 percent thunderstorm chances around as well as the mostly cloudy skies with highs in the mid-80s. Lows during this period will cool to the mid/ upper 60s.
