Herbert, a local prospect out for Sheldon High School in Eugene, threw for 3,170 yards and 37 touchdowns as a senior previous year.

Unlike Adams, who didn’t join the Ducks until a few days into fall camp last season, Prukop arrived in Eugene early.

Prukop is a graduate transfer from Montana State who was an FCS All-American last season. In 2014, Prukop led Montana State to a 77-37 win over UC Davis, throwing for 361 yards and four touchdowns while rushing for 148 yards and two scores.

“Honestly, whoever they put out there, whether it be coach Helf, Dakota, Travis. they have tons of weapons”, starting safety Juwaan Williams said when asked for his opinion of the quarterback situation.

Jonsen is a dual-threat quarterback from Anaheim, California, who injured his toe last fall and required surgery.

Jonsen completed 15 of 24 attempts for 188 yards with a touchdown and an interception in the spring game.

A year ago, Vernon Adams Jr. filled in commendably for Mariota, the 2014 Heisman Trophy victor, when healthy.

Coach Mark Helfrich told reporters Thursday that the team goes into the first game preparation week of the season in good shape.
