Asked whether Mr Gordon should consider resigning from parliament she said: “That’s a matter for him”.

“I always believed personal exchanges between me and other parties were private and consensual”, he said in a statement.
“I am determined to continue to represent the constituents of Cook, and better the lives of indigenous people in my electorate”.
The LNP lost its second attempt to “void” the Cook MPs vote on Tuesday, when Mr Wellington sided with Labor and Mr Gordon overnight, to defeat the Opposition’s motion to give party leaders the opportunity to “reject” an MPs vote.
Education Minister Kate Jones labelled Mr Langbroek’s speech “a disgrace” and said the opposition leadership’s focus on Mr Gordon indicated they had no ideas.
The premier has since refused to call on Mr Gordon to quit parliament so there can be a by-election in his far north Queensland seat.
“Billy Gordon’s vote is what keeps Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk’s government in power and she has now made it clear that she will do anything to hold onto it”.
‘This is as much about the government’s actions as it is about the actions of the Member for Cook, ‘ Mr Langbroek said.
Palaszczuk said she led a consultative government that assisted every MP, regardless of political stripes, because they represented their electorates.
Ms Palaszczuk stressed a police investigation was still underway.
He has been investigated for unsubstantiated allegations of domestic violence and also admitted to hiding his undisclosed criminal record from the Labor Party when he was still a member.
Mr Holness felt the photo allegations could spark a backlash among Kowanyama’s female residents and also questioned how Mr Gordon was again at the centre of controversy. “That’s really inappropriate for the role he’s in”, he told AAP.
