Priyanka Chopra becomes the first Bollywood star to headline an American TV series with ABC’s “Quantico”, premiering 27 September. But her star power has been relatively lackluster in the United States.

Actress Priyanka Chopra is under the weather with “upset stomach”, and her cure for the illness is spending time with her mother, Madhu, and family. The drama series ‘Quantico’ will depict the story of FBI recruits who have landed on the ‘Quantico’ base for training.
In the show, Priyanka plays Alex Parrish, a rookie Federal Bureau of Investigation recruit with a mysterious past.
A sudsy, snappy mash-up of How to Get Away with Murder and Homeland, ABC’s Quantico boasts one of the most breathless major network premieres in recent memory, a brisk and batty hour packed with dramatic confrontations, steamy auto sex, deadly standoffs, off-the-wall twists and just about every other trick in the soap-opera sandbox.

She will fly back to Mumbai in October to shoot the climax of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani. The film also stars actors Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone in lead roles along with Priyanka.
