‘Quarantined’ Wasserman Schultz Will Not Gavel in Democratic Convention
Dawson, one of Sanders’ most vocal and acidic surrogates during the primary campaign, urged supporters to “stay the course” and called for the removal of interim Democratic National Committee Chair Donna Brazile, who replaced ousted chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz only Sunday. He says it’s where the party is headed. The losing side has suspicions and the losing side is now confirmed.

The DNC is facing questions about whether it could have done more to limit the damage done by hackers suspected of working for Russian intelligence.
Commissioner Richard Ross said Monday that the protests around the city will only get bigger.
The eruption came during a speech in which the Vermont senator was cheered for almost every point he made – including his call to defeat GOP nominee Donald Trump. “And there could not be more sharp contrasts between the capable Hillary Clinton and a person who’s not ready to be president, Donald Trump”.
The emails prove what Sanders long contended about a “rigged” political system, said Keith McLain, a Sanders delegate from Byron, Minn. Wasserman Schultz denied the accusation, but was forced out as chief Sunday. “How is that party unity?” “They’ve been, as in any primary process, buried in the back and forth” between Clinton and Sanders, Podhorzer said.
Ansara declined to answer, saying she would be glad to talk with Humphrey, but not in front of reporters. “It’s of utmost importance you explain this to your delegations”.
“It’s slightly unique for Clinton and Trump because they’re incredibly well-known”, Pfeiffer said.
In a CNN/ORC poll last week, 55 percent of Americans said they have an unfavorable view of Clinton, while 59 percent said the same of Trump. Behind the scenes, Sanders and his campaign tried to persuade his delegates not to disrupt the proceedings.
Outgoing DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz will not gavel in the Democratic convention this afternoon as originally planned.
Instead, they were greeted by explosive fallout from a suspected Russian hack on the Democratic National Committee that exposed emails – published by Wikileaks – of top officials scheming against Bernie Sanders. A leak of DNC staff emails, some disrespectful toward Sanders, broke just before delegates gathered in Philadelphia. “They needed to clean house and sorry, that wasn’t a cleaning”, Olson said. One email sent in May, for example, suggested someone ask Sanders about his belief in God, which could lead to an answer that would sway southern voters toward Clinton. “I’m not seeing turmoil on my level”. Tick Segerblom, a Sanders delegate, said via email on Monday. “I can’t just snap my fingers and have them follow me”, he’s said.
Phil Murphy, who is running for New Jersey governor and is a former DNC finance chairman, agreed.
On Saturday, Sanders’ campaign announced that the convention Rules Committee approved a “unity reform commission” charged with reducing the number of superdelegates, the party leaders and elected officials who may vote for the candidate of their choice at the convention.
Wasserman Schultz is expected to step down at the end of the convention. She doesn’t think the heat will keep protesters away.

“The reality is that she comes out of this nominating process with pretty high negatives and this is a chance for her to make her case in her own terms”, said Gain, who advises the pro-Clinton super PAC Priorities USA. What you heard last week was a lot of divisiveness and darkness. “She has shown time and time again her resilience and she is not scared to stand up to the right and defend our platform and defend our values”, said Ana Cruz, a delegate from Tampa.
