Adam, 34, has been performing with the legendary band for the past few years and they ensured they were ready for their headline slot at the festival on Sunday (06.12.16) by digging in to a number of Domino’s treats including Cheese and Tomato, Pepperoni Passion and Veg-a-roma.

The “We Will Rock You” hitmakers – guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor – and the “Four Your Entertainment” singer brought the weekend to a close with a mind-blowing two-hour long set, their first ever festival appearance.

For Bohemian Rhapsody, a video of Freddie, who died in 1991, was also used for him to join with the band.

He said: “Thank you to the rock-n-roll royalty that I get to share a stage with, Brian May and Roger Taylor”. “This is one of the biggest honours in my life, there will always be, for all time, one Freddie”.

Bowie passed away on January 10 2016 following an 18 month battle with cancer.

Queen wrapped up an incredible weekend at the Isle of Wight festival to a packed main stage audience.

Before a rendition of Queen’s 1986 track Who Wants To Live Forever, Adam, acting as frontman, told the crowd, “This song is dedicated to those who lost their lives in Orlando, Florida, and anyone who has been a victim of senseless violence or hatred”.

Other hits included Killer Queen, Radio Ga Ga, I Want To Break Free, and Under Pressure, the song Queen jointly created with David Bowie.

Earlier in the evening, Ocean Colour Scene took to the stage, performing most of their iconic album Moseley Shoals, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.

Also on Sunday’s bill were sibling trio The Cribs, Montreal’s Half Moon Run, who played hits from their first album, Dark Eyes, including Call Me in the Afternoon and Full Circle, Irish folk group The High Kings and Glaswegian rockers Twin Atlantic.
