Queen of People’s Hearts Princess Diana inspired ‘Wonder Woman’

Following their panel at Comic-Con today, DC Films and Warner Brothers have officially released their first trailer for Wonder Woman.

Gal Gadot is Diana, Chris Pine is Steve, and they’re supported by Robin Wright, Connie Nielsen, Lisa Loven Kongsli, Lucy Davis, and Said Taghmaoui.

The studio teased the film stating, “Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior”. Because the cover features the one and only Goddess of Truth-Wonder Woman-in her iconic pose and ready to do battle with her bracelets of submission. Wonder Woman counters the angst and bleakness that reign supreme in Superman and Batman’s world with a certain solidity and sense of conviction, not to mention some kickass action.

Gal Gadot stars as Diana/Wonder Woman.

After DC introduced the latest iteration of the beloved superheroine in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, actress Gal Gadot reprises the role in the standalone film, directed by Patty Jenkins.

Wonder Woman was among a host of films to be showcased by Warner bros at Comic-Con, the annual gathering of movie, television and comic book fans.

Joining Gadot in the worldwide cast are Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen, Robin Wright, David Thewlis, Danny Huston, Elena Anaya, Ewen Bremner and Saïd Taghmaoui.

Another scene sees Trevor ask Wonder Woman about her father, but she responds: “I had no father, I was brought to life by Zeus”. She is shown wielding a huge hammer and leading the charge against injustice with her fist raised.
