The tickets to the very special birthday party went on sale at 9am this morning (GMT).

The Queen will be 90 on April 21 and her birthday will be marked throughout the country in a number of different ways.

The ceremonies will involve 900 horses and 1,500 artists including dancers, musicians and actors from around the world, the palace said.

Tickets went on sale Tuesday for the most exciting gig of 2016: Queen Elizabeth’s 90th birthday bash.

Worldwide acts and British icons are set to perform as well as the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment and a selection of police and army bands from the commonwealth.

Tickets cost between £55 and £165 for a seat on the first three nights and rise to between £75 and £195 on the final night.

There will also be references to the Queen’s animals including her horses and ponies, her dogs and even her racing pigeons.

The top-priced seats will be next to the royal enclosure and include access to a hospitality suite.

Members of the public who are unable to buy a ticket to one of the four evening shows can apply for one of 5,000 free tickets, which will allow them to see celebrities arriving on the red carpet and to watch the final performance on giant screens with the Castle in the backdrop. “This will take place in the New Year”.

Celebration producer and director Simon Brooks-Ward said his team had worked hard to make the celebration unique.

“We’re especially delighted with our plans to offer an extra 5,000 people the chance to be part of the celebrations through our balloted system for tickets on The Long Walk”.
