The Prime Minister chose to call for a broader meeting tomorrow for detailed discussions on NAP.

Chief Secretary Balochistan Saifullah Chatha briefed the Prime Minister on the situation. The Prime Mister said that denial of right of self-determination for Kashmiris is one of the persistent failures of the United Nations. India must realize that Kashmir is not its internal matter; rather it is a matter of regional and global concern. He also ordered to destroy sleeper cells of terrorists.

The meeting was attended by Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif, Balochistan Governor Muhammad Khan Achakzai, Chief Minister Sanaullah Zahri, Commander Southern Command Lieutenant-General Amir Riaz, ISPR Director General Lieutenant-General Asim Bajwa, Prime Minister’s National Security Adviser Nasser Khan Janjua, Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid and the director generals of the Military Operations and Military Intelligence.

The directive was issued by the COAS while presiding over Corps Commanders Conference held here at General Headquarters.

A day after Quetta hospital bombing left at least 72 people killed in Pakistan, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday (Aug 9) vowed to continue military operations against terrorists. He said the federal and provincial governments would divert resources to augment capacity of the Frontier Constabulary (FC) and Counter Terrorism Department (CTD).

The Chief Minister stated, “With the support of the nation and with the help of a unified effort, we will be able to defeat the terrorists”.

The resolution moved by Law Minister Zahid Hamid said the entire nation is aggrieved over the loss of precious lives in the cowardly incidents including that of the martyrdom of Balochistan Bar President Bilal Anwar Kansi.
