According to the details, the fourth match of PSL T20 is being played in Dubai International Cricket Stadium between Quetta Gladiators and Karachi Kings.

Andre Russell’s cameo was not enough to save Islamabad United as they plunged to a comprehensive eight-wicket defeat to Quetta Gladiators in the opening game of the inaugural Pakistan Super League here yesterday.

Pakistan’s opener Ahmed Shehzad helped his side register their second consecutive victory of the tournament with a brisk 71 off just 46 balls to clinch an eight wicket win over oppositions Karachi Kings on Saturday. Anwar Ali came back for his second spell and had an engaging battle with Sammy, alternating between the full yorker that Sammy couldn’t do anything with and the full-length delivery that disappeared over the ropes.

Quetta Gladiators won the toss and opted to field.

After inserting Peshawar Zalmi into bat first, Mohammad Nawaz (3-29) struck twice in the fifth over to dismiss Tamim Iqbal (14) and Mohammad Hafeez (10).

But any hopes of restricting the Gladiators were put to rest by openers Luke Wright (47 off 39 balls) and Shahzad who raised 92 runs for the first wicket in 11 overs. Pietersen hit one boundary and two sixes. Simmons, in an attempt to accelerate the scoring, stepped out to left-armer Nawaz and was holed out at long off. His dismissal followed a period of play in which spinners, Nawaz and Mohammad Nabi, choked the scoring rate, culminating in Vince’s dismissal – stumped Sarfraz bowled Nabi. If these three bowlers get to bowl with the required line and length then, Quetta will fall apart soon. The pair helped Karachi pile up 63 runs off the last six overs before they both fell in the final over of the innings. The team’s biggest stars are Tamim Iqbal, Mohammad Hafeez, Kamran Akmal, Darren Sammy and Shaun Tait among others.
