Quigg says he’ll KO Frampton
The two undefeated British world champions meet in a hugely-anticipated clash on Saturday at Manchester Arena, where Frampton’s IBF belt and Quigg’s WBA crown will be on the line.

A row over who gets the best dressing room is threatening to derail Saturday’s super-bantamweight unification match between Scott Quigg and Carl Frampton. I think it is hilarious, if I’m honest.
Neither fighter has tasted defeat in the professional ranks so far, but Frampton is confident he will end Quigg’s unbeaten record in emphatic fashion and dismiss any suggestions of a potential rematch.
McGuigan was from Clones in the Republic of Ireland but was based in Belfast for his boxing career and became a hero for both Catholic and Protestant communities in Northern Ireland during the Troubles. An encore presentation of the bout will air on SHOWTIME® immediately following Saturday’s live SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING® telecast headlined by three-division world champion Leo Santa Cruz and former titlist Kiko Martinez.
Just a couple of days away from their title unification fight and it appears that all the negotiations for the long-awaited fight between Carl Frampton and Scott Quigg haven’t been finalized.
Frampton’s trainer Shane McGuigan claimed Quigg’s cornerman Joe Gallagher “couldn’t punch his way out of a wet paper bag”.
Quigg shoved Frampton during their stare-off because the Ulsterman annoyed him by tapping him on his shoulder. Haye is aware of Frampton’s fighting style as he has trained side-by-side with the 29-year-old Irish fighter. “He’s young but he knows his stuff, he has been around boxing his whole life, and other boxers want to be trained by him now. Believe me I won’t be making any mistakes”.
“I’m better in every department, plain and simple”. His last few sessions, I was mesmerised.
“I think Sky’s Johnny Nelson said something about me not sweating at the public workout on the paddles, in a shopping centre for two minutes with shorts and a t-shirt on”.
“It’s always easier taking advice from someone who has done it before and Barry has really guided me well”. I’ve been going out and I’ve been boxing. I’ve punching power to KO him in any round and I’ve the boxing brain to win on points.
The rival trainers and promoters also took potshots at each other on the dais.
Will this fight come down to which fighter has the cooler-headed corner on fight night? Frampton managed to return for some weekends early on in his training but has taken himself away from his family to get him ready for his toughest test yet.

“The deputy head said, “What are you going to be and achieve in life with no education?’ I told the teachers I wouldn’t tell them because they would all laugh”. He would obviously make easy work of Hearn if he wanted to.
