Rachel McAdams confirms those Doctor unusual rumors
But as usual, Marvel didn’t confirm or deny these rumblings, so we were left in the dark as to the truth of the matter. Surely plenty of other people would jump at the chance for a big Marvel universe role (though at the time Iron Man was in the works, it wasn’t as huge of a deal), but it’s refreshing to see McAdams cautious about the roles she takes.

Apparently during a recent interview McAdams was asked about the speculation of her joining the cast of Doctor odd, to which the actress responded… If she ends up in Doctor unusual she’ll be on screen with the other modern Holmes, Benedict Cumberbatch who will be playing the Sorcerer Supreme.

Actress Rachel McAdams attends the special screening of Columbia Pictures” “ALOHA’ at The London West Hollywood on May 27, 2015 in West Hollywood, California. Now, the actress has confirmed that she was offered the part and is considering a role in the graphic novel turned movie. McAdams mentioned that she “does not have much to talk about it right now and if there is something happening she would let everyone know”. In her previous interview with Den of Geek, McAdams was not so clear about early talks for her to appear in the comic book adaptation as she declined to talk about the film. But she’s a really private person.
But when she spoke to The Los Angeles Times in a pretty interesting profile about her career, she was slightly more forthcoming.
“It’s often out of my own insecurity”.
That’s according to a new profile of Swinton in The Guardian, in which she’s also quoted as saying, “The thing that keeps me being a performer is my interest in society’s obsession with identity, because I’m not sure that I really believe identity exists”. I want to be able to bring my best to the table.
Back in May it was revealed that Marvel Studios had tapped Tilda Swinton (Snowpiercer, Trainwreck) to play the role of Dr. Stephen Strange’s mentor The Ancient One in the Phase Three release Doctor unusual.
Scott Derrickson is set to direct the film from Jon Spaihts’ script, whose first draft was penned by Thomas Dean Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer.
