Fans – known as the Beyhive – pounced on the designer after she posted an Instagram photo referencing the “good hair” line, which she explained to People was a joke.

When Beyoncé released her new album Lemonade, everyone had one question: who is Becky, with the good hair?

The song “Sorry”, which features Serena Williams in the video, contains the lyric: “He only wants me when I’m not there. Nothing seems to hurt like the smile on your face”, before hinting that the 46-year-old rapper had got down and dirty with a mystery woman called Becky with “good hair” behind her back. Live in the light.

Rachel Roy, the fashion designer who over the past 48 hours has been targeted by some Beyoncé fans, has reportedly pulled out of an event citing a “personal emergency”. As a mother – and I know many mothers would agree – I feel that bullying in any form is harmful and unacceptable.

And finally, she used Instagram to post a picture of the movie poster for Liz Taylor’s 1973 movie Ash Wednesday, with a handclap emoji in the caption.

“I would hope that the media sees the real issue here – the issue of cyber bullying – and how it should not be tolerated by anyone”, she said.

She also posted a tweet on her Twitter account saying: “I respect love, marriages, families and strength”.

Roy put out a statement as well, denying any sort of involvement with Beyonce and Jay-Z, even though she had been reportedly carrying on an affair with Jay prior to May 2014’s MET Ball.

Now the BeyHive has turned its attention to Rita Ora, a singer who was a protege on Jay Z’s Roc Nation roster.
