Radiohead’s Brand New Album ‘A Moon Shaped Pool’ Has Finally Arrived

In one shift for Radiohead, it released Daydreaming and the first single, Burn The Witch, on streaming services including Spotify despite frontman Thom Yorke’s long criticism of the companies’ compensation to artistes. Sure enough, new videos for the songs “Burn the Witch” and “Daydreaming” hit the internet, as well as the promise that a then-untitled album would be released digitally on Sunday, May 8. If “True Love Waits” has been a live favorite of yours, I’m willing to bet you’ll enjoy the revamped, piano-backed studio version. That he’d find inspiration in Louis XIV’s botanical endeavor makes sense, given that most of A Moon Shaped Pool was recorded in France. Well today’s the day, and the followup to 2011’s The King of Limbs – titled A Moon Shaped Pool – is now available for purchase on iTunes.

The full package is set to ship in September, containing a piece of a half-inch master tape from an authentic Radiohead recording session. “Each loop contains about ¾ of a second of audio – which could be from any era in the band’s recording past going back to Kid A”. It’s a crapshoot. We have copies.
