Jurgen Klopp has hailed a “perfect” Liverpool performance as they smashed Manchester City on their own patch.

Aguero is widely regarded as one of the best centre forwards in the world game, with City a much more risky proposition with him in their side. “Two weeks is long enough after the Crystal Palace game”. “We have watched games with all of these players and without these players”.

The result lifts Liverpool into ninth place in the Premier League but they remain six points adrift of a Champions League place.

There will also be added spice to the fixture as it is the first time Raheem Sterling and James Milner face their former clubs after swapping sides over the summer.

Liverpool never wanted to part ways with Sterling, but the latter turned down a massive deal, with his agent saying that his client will not be re-signing with the club.

During the game, former Reds defender Jamie Carragher was offering his thoughts on the performance, and highlighted one thing in particular that please manager Klopp.

“I am more than angry, it is unbelievable the performance we had”, said Pellegrini.

Klopp said (via the official website): “We had eight players here because Jose Enrique could train for the first time since I’ve been here”.

“We are doing a good season”, Pellegrini said.

Sterling, 20, felt the ire of Liverpool’s supporters after rejecting a contract offer from the club at the end of last season and subsequently joined City in a deal that could be worth up to £49 million ($74.9 million, 69.8 million euros).

“I worked with some good players and these players are very good too. He will be a very important player for City and also England”.
