Rahul Gandhi promises ‘kurta pajama’ sarkar

Without taking name of Rahul Gandhi, he said, “Here is an institute build by your government, in a village next to your constituency and named after your father but it speaks volumes about your commitment by the very fact that it does not yet have a campus”.

“Na kuch mila hai, na kuch milega (nothing has been received and nothing would be received)”, he said, addressing a roadside meeting in Tahiyawan village on the second day of his two-day visit to his parliamentary constituency.

Mr Gandhi recalled Mr Modi’s pre-poll promise on implementing one rank, one pension for ex-servicemen.

The Lalit Modi controversy and Vyapam scam dominated the session, resulting in paralysis of both Houses and provoking Speaker Sumitra Mahajan to suspend 25 of the 44 Congress members for five days.

Rahul also charged the Modi government with changing the parameters of measuring the economic growth to claim that it was growing at a good rate. He has changed the way the GDP is measured.

“You have ruined this country… this country can not be run on slogans or symbolism”, he said.
