Paytm CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma and Flipkart co-founder Sachin Bansal are putting money in Yadav’s unnamed venture. This time he has emerged as the prime attraction for several Housing.com employees who want to join his startup even before the entity is finalized.

“He met Ambani and although his final approval is yet to come but it appears that Ambani is inclined to bet on Yadav, also seen as a young maverick by some”, the source said. Yadav’s new venture is aimed at revolutionising the usage of data analytics and its objective. Ever since, Rahul has been working on his new venture and has reportedly hired his former Housing.com employees.

While Vijay Shekhar Sharma confirmed his investment, Rahul Sharma (Micromax co-founder) and Sachin Bansal (Flipkart co-founder) were not immediately available for comments. “I will make an announcement in the next ten days”, he told.

The colleagues who seem to have left Housing include Pratik Seal, Chief Marketing Officer; Azeem Zainulbhai, chief of staff and Suvonil Chatterjee, Chief Design Officer.

For the past few months, Rahul Yadav has been social media’s dearest child for his weird antics. However, Housing issued a statement saying that the senior management that was driving the firm forward was still intact. “The most exciting day of my life was IIT-JEE result”.

Though it’s not yet clear what Rahul’s new venture will be about, in a Facebook post on July 15, he had said: “I’ll be back…this time with 100x…” [10x of last formula (10x)]… Getting similar and strong awesome feelings again for upcoming meeting with Mukesh Ambani. Confession: “he’s my hero!”

So why is Paytm’s Sharma investing? “There’s a lot for him to learn in terms of how to deal with the stakeholders, but he is one of the top product builders right now”.
