Rain forces early end to Bangladesh, South Africa Test
“This is one of the most weird Test series I have been involved in”.

This is the first series draw between the countries after rain had forced the first Test in Chittagong to a similar outcome, reports bdnews24.com.
The second Test between Bangladesh and South Africa in Mirpur has ended in a draw after rain halts play on day five. I batted here myself, I know the wicket was not easy at all.
South Africa, on the other hand, came into their own as the first day progressed. We thank the ground staff, the amount of effort they put in to try and get a few play.
Bangladesh fans hope Tamim and co will not repeat the same mistakes against Australia, scheduled to play two Tests, from October 9 to 13 in Chittagong and October 17 to 21 in Dhaka. Teammates AB De Villiers, Hashim Amla and JP Duminy remember a few of Steyn’s finest moments in Test cricket.
The two washed-out Tests against South Africa meant a revision in points that determine official rankings, although the rankings themselves remained unchanged.
South Africa pacer Dale Steyn bowls on Day One of the second Test against Bangladesh at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur yesterday. It would have been good for us to play against the best team in the world. It would have taken around 4-5 hours to be fine but unfortunately, this is the last day play and there’s no point asking the players to dive around on a muddy outfield.

While a draw will give take Bangladesh to 41.21 rating points from 39, it won’t bring about a change in their ninth rank, ahead of only Zimbabwe. He is the second South African to bag 400 wickets in Tests after Shaun Pollock.
