After an exciting couple of weeks in Chittagong, both the Bangladesh and South Africa contingents returned to Dhaka for the final leg of the tour, which will end with a Test match at Mirpur.

South Africa captain Hashim Amla said he was disappointed over the loss of playing hours. The home side displayed a few brilliant cricket to skittle out the visitors for 248, the Proteas’ second lowest total against the Tigers.
He said that there were good contributions with both bat and ball, especially the bowlers who tried exceptionally hard and barred Bangladesh of getting a big lead.
“The game was poised in our favour I feel, but there’s nothing you can do about it”. Amla praised their effort without being overly critical, perhaps because they all seemed to be getting back into the groove as the Bangladesh innings ended and may have been in it by the time Bangladesh batted again.
The left-armer was named man of the match for the Test, following another award-winning performance on his one-day worldwide debut against India, which saw him return 5-50.
“If there had been a complete match, the result could have been different”. When asked of his take on take on Amla’s statement, that the match was in their favor, he said, “It is [Hashim Amla’s] opinion”.
Regardless, if a Test does take place, it will be an opportunity for the two teams – who have battled neck-and-neck so far in this tour – to renew their rivalry.

South Africa were 61-0 in their second innings after bowling out Bangladesh for 326 before rain and bad light forced early stumps on the third day at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium.
