Fans hoping to partake in the Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race on Saturday night will have to wait until the sun comes up after persistent showers forced NASCAR to postpone the race after just 48 laps. And rains pelted the track moments before a 10-lap caution run was about to go green.
The race will now continue starting at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday. Recapping our article describing how to watch the NASCAR live video stream from CNBC at Bristol online, this afternoon, NASCAR Sprint Cup series drivers will return to racing at the Bristol Motor Speedway.
Cars are on track and the Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race is finally back underway at Bristol Motor Speedway.
Last week NASCAR drivers in the Sprint Cup series took a week off from racing, and last night’s race was rained out.
Carl Edwards won the pole Friday and started up front as he tries to sweep both Bristol races this season.
Kyle Busch had the lead, followed by Chase Elliott, Ryan Blaney, Denny Hamlin and Matt Kenseth.

The decision to postpone the race was made a little before 10:30pm.
