Rain, Snow Showers Possible for MLK Jr. Holiday Weekend in South Windsor

A “quick shot of rain is coming our way”, News 12 Long Island meteorologist Rich Hoffman. As the clipper’s front goes through late Sunday into Monday, there may be a few snow showers, but nothing to write home about.

Today: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 2 p.m. High near 62. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent. Saturday’s snow looks to be light and scattered, with no major accumulation.

A 20 percent chance of showers. Temperatures will be cool in the upper 40s with mostly sunny skies. New precipitation amounts of between a half and three-quarters of an inch are possible.

The weather should stay pleasant today, but conditions will deteriorate late tonight and overnight into Sunday as a band of showers approaches and pushes rapidly eastward. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

Only Sierra peaks are expected to receive several inches of snow.

MONDAY NIGHT: The frigid temperatures continue for Monday night, with an overnight low temperature of 5 degrees, with mostly clear skies.
