Haley was joined by FEMA Administrator Craig Fugate, who said the agency would be here “for a long time”.
According to the National Weather Service, a flood advisory issued Wednesday morning is in effect until Friday morning. The group is also bringing chaplains to help provide emotional and spiritual care.

Dam failures were a constant concern for thousands of residents, days after the rain ended.
About 400 tons of rocks had been dumped to reinforce the dam, and efforts have been underway since Monday to draw down the lake behind the dam. Scott Youngblood, a local resident, hopes the second round of flooding won’t be as bad as it was this time last week.
