Rainbow Six: Siege Delayed Until December 1st

The release date is interesting since it now puts Rainbow Six Siege in an environment where Halo 5: Guardians and Star Wars Battlefront will already be available.

The reasons behind this include improving the co-op mode, as well as balancing weapons and gadgets in addition to menu and interface navigation.

“Whether it’s been through playtests in our studios, the closed alpha, or recent hands-on demos at events like E3 or Gamescom, player feedback has been essential to the development of Rainbow Six Siege“.

The development team at Ubisoft in charge of the coming Rainbow Six Siege is announcing that the title is now delayed to December 1, 2015, for all platforms and regions, in order to make sure that the title delivers the experience that fans are expecting from it. Ubisoft says that this wasn’t an easy decision but given all of the feedback that it has received and based on its own internal tests it feels that there are adjustments and improvements that can be made to improve the overall experience. “The additional time will allow us to further test things like infrastructure and matchmaking”, Ubisoft said. We’re taking a little more time to make these changes, and we think it’s the right call’.

The closed beta for the game is still as originally confirmed and it will start on September 24. That extra testing and added polish will make for a higher-quality experience at launch.
