“If the raid was in Chief Minister’s office it was in his office”.
“BJP resolutely stands behind Jaitleyji and condemns malicious attempt of AAP to deflect public attention from a corrupt officer”.
Meanwhile, the Congress also targeted Jaitley and demanded his resignation over alleged “gross financial irregularities” in the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) when he headed it from 1999 to 2013.
The Chief Minister who has been locked in a bitter battle with the Centre has accused Modi of playing Politics and also stated that the central government has been using CBI for political vendetta.
The Aam Aadmi Party, to which Kejriwal belongs, resoundingly came into power in February by winning a majority of seats in the Delhi state assembly on an anti-corruption platform.
Mumbai: Arvind Kejriwal should have checked the antecedents of his Principal Secretary Rajender Kumar, whose office was yesterday raided by CBI over alleged graft, social activist Anna Hazare said today amid the face-off between the Centre and Delhi Chief Minister on the issue. He had virtually live-tweeted the CBI raid at his Principal Secretary Rajendra Kumar’s office in the Delhi Secretariat on Tuesday.
She claimed that blatantly incorrect information is being spread by certain quarters to discredit the agency with the intent to obstruct investigation. CBI spokesman Devpreet Singh said searches were conducted with warrants, and that Kejriwal’s office was not searched.
On Thursday, the CBI quizzed the accused officer for over 11 hours, along with co-accused and Intelligent Communication System India Limited (ICSIL) managing director R.S. Kaushik. “The CMO office was neither searched, nor sealed”. “In the meeting, Kumar urged the CM not to defend him as he himself will handle the issue”, sources also said. Sisodia asked, claiming misuse of CBI by the Centre.

“If you see the seizure memo, the kind of files that were seized including the cabinet decisions and file movement registers, I do not understand the connection they have with the alleged scams for which the raids were conducted”, he added.
