Rajinikanth, Kabali (Hindi, Tamil, Telugu) Opening, First Day Box Office Collection Report
With “Kabali”, Thailava also broke his own box-office record, which stood at Rs 37 crores earlier. The latest Rajinikanth starrer “Kabali has been produced by ‘Kalaipuli” S Thanu who said, “It is the best collection an Indian actor has ever had”.

According to film distributor Raj Bansal, “Kabali” went on to make Rs 42 crores on day one, beating the collection of Salman Khan’s “Sultan”.
Rajinikanth’s “Kabali’s has just taken the entertainment world by storm, the film which released not on any holidays or vacations, has become one of the biggest festivals of the year, as Rajini fans are more than insane and are celebrating it as ‘Kabali Festival”. Trade analyst Trinath told IANS that only a Rajinikanth-starrer could register such a huge opening.
In Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the Telugu dubbed version also got a good start. Language does not seem to be a barrier as everyone is coming to see the film. “But since the review is not that great, there will be a drop in its collection from Monday”. Makers are expecting 20 crores on the second day of the release.
From premiere shows alone, the film has collected $2 million from the United States and Canada markets – where it released in over 400 screens – according to distribution company CineGalaxy Inc.

Mumbai-based trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted: “If this is not EARTH-SHATTERING, what is?”
Apart from the USA and Canada, the film has also did well in Malaysia and United Kingdom.
The Rajinikanth and Radhika Apte starrer released worldwide across 6,500 screen this Friday.
