Rajinikanth speaks about his United States holiday!

Tamil Nadu made the highest contribution of 47 crores, whereas Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and rest of India contributed 20 crores, 16 crores, 7.85 crores and 19.15 crores respectively. The film earned approximately Rs 48 crore on day 1 beating Salman Khan starrer Sultan’s collection which earned Rs 36.54 crore on its opening day.

“It won’t be fair to draw comparisons between Kabali and Sultan since they cater to audiences in different markets”.

Sharing a screen space of nearly 1,200, it majorly released in the Southern region following it was metro cities like Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi-NCR along with north-west areas. From overseas market, it reported the business of 87 crores in the weekend including Thursday’s premier shows. This was the scenario where the tickets are sold at huge price outside Chennai.

The movie “Kabali” starring Tamil film superstar Rajinikanth, is only a fiction movie which must be seen from merely the entertainment aspect and not be used to trigger controversy.

Parts of the dialogue in a scene towards the end of the movie was also deleted.

Thus this makes a total of Rs 430 crore at the worldwide Box Office. The movie is expecting to collect 500 crore and is going to collect very soon and it will be a very new record being set by this superstar.

Despite drawing extraordinary attention from movie-goers during its opening on the silver screen, Tamil blockbuster Kabali is not without its own controversies.

The film’s Malay dubbed version is set to release on July 29, but will be different from the Tamil, Telugu and Hindi language versions that are now on release.

Superstar Rajinikanth, who was in the United States, holidaying with his daughter Aishwarya R Dhanush, returned to Chennai on July 25.
