Rajnath Singh’s Terror Reprimand Speech Blacked Out by Pakistan

Meanwhile, Hizb-ul-Mujahideen supreme commander Syed Salahuddin asked Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to immediately recall its ambassador from New Delhi and “suspend trade and diplomatic ties” with India in the wake of ongoing unrest in the Valley that have left 49 people dead following Hizb commander Burhan Wani’s killing.

Pakistan, on Tuesday completely blacked out Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh’s address the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) summit of home Ministers’ in Islamabad.

During his terse speech, Singh launched a veiled attack on Pakistan, saying mere condemnation of terrorism and individual acts by terrorists was not enough.

“I also speak for the entire humanity – not just for India or other Saarc members – in urging that in no circumstances should terrorists be eulogised as martyrs”, said the Home Minister.

He categorically stated that there is no good or bad terrorist. “Terrorism is terrorism. There should be no glorification or eulogising of terrorists as martyrs”. The world has to unite together to fight is this menace. “Terrorism is main hurdle in achieving goals”.

He emphasised that nations providing support, encouragement, sanctuary, safe haven or any assistance to terrorism or terrorists must be isolated.

Mr. Singh skipped a lunch hosted by his Pakistani counterpart Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan after the host himself failed to turn up at the venue.

Singh along with senior officials of the Home Ministry went to Islamabad on Wednesday.
