Rajnath Singh Speaks On Kashmir Unrest In Rajya Sabha
The Prime Minister had in his public rally in Madhya Pradesh a day earlier appealed for peace in the valley.

He added, “With the help of his speeches, he is raising those sensitive issues which should be otherwise raised in the Parliament”.
“We have to end the violence and the current bloodshed in Kashmir”.
While using the famous words of Kashmiriyat, Insaniyat and Jamooriyat used by former Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee on solving Kashmir issue, PM Modi said, “we give so much love to Kashmir but some people there are causing it a lot of harm”. A BJP MP from the state, Shamsher Singh Manhas, participating in the debate, was aghast over “everyone is speaking about Kashmir and not Jammu”.
Sitaram Yechury of the CPI (M) said mere slogans on Kashmir will not work and the government should come out with concrete plans.
“Jammu and Kashmir is not about Kashmir only”.
Mr Singh said getting Kashmir will only remain a dream for Pakistan.

These were PM Modi’s first comments on the continuing unrest in the valley in the aftermath of the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen “commander” Burhan Wani by security forces on July 8.
