Sharma had yesterday clarified the BJP’s stance on the issue of construction of Ram Temple, saying his party and the government had already given their opinion that people of the country want the temple to be constructed as soon as possible. “The Centre has given its nod to a Rs 170 crore Ram Van Gaman Path project which will depict Lord Rama’s ideals”, he said. “Steps will probably be taken on the course of the courtroom and this can be a non-political concern”, he stated. “But the issue is pending in court”, Mr Sharma said.
“BJP is committed to construct Ram Temple and even the individuals of the nation need that the Ram Temple must be established”.
“There should be an inquiry into what happened to all the funds collected over the years for construction of Ram Temple”, Congress leader Manish Tewari said.
“The larger question is how much money has been collected in the name of constructing Ram Temple between 1986 and 2016”.

“The people of BJP have no clue what the people of this country want, but they definitely want to win the elections in Uttar Pradesh by polarising the society”. According to Opposition parties, the move is pre-planned by BJP to polarize the voters along religious lines in the run-up to 2017 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. “Two trucks of stones have been unloaded at Ram Sewak Puram, a VHP property in Ayodhya, and “Shila Pujan” (praying of the stones) has been performed by Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, the president of Ram Janam Bhumi Nyas”, VHP spokesman Sharad Sharma had said.
