Rams’ Aaron Donald ejected for making contact with official
Los Angeles Rams star defender Aaron Donald was ejected from the season opener after making contact with an official.

The Rams endured a night to forget as the 49ers cruised to a 28-0 win on Monday night and Donald’s frustrations boiled over in the fourth quarter at Levi’s Stadium. As Ogletree was getting up, he raked his foot over Gabbert’s body, to which the quarterback took exception. When Patton turned around, Donald shoved Patton in the face and knocked off his helmet to draw one flag.
Donald then slammed his helmet to the ground as he walked off the field. By that time, the Rams had given up 102 yards on 10 penalties. San Francisco won by that score.
The 2014 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year had an improved campaign last season, making his second consecutive Pro Bowl and totaling 69 tackles and 11 sacks as he started all 16 games for the Rams.
After the game, Donald didn’t make excuses for what happened. He told reporters (including USA Today Sports’ Martin Rogers) the outburst was “dumb”. While the struggles on offense continued for this team that finished near the bottom of the league a year ago, it was Aaron Donald who stole the show in the fourth quarter after the defensive tackle let his emotions get the best of him.

I think it’s safe to say Donald did not agree with the call or his ejection.
