Rams Edge Chiefs To Go 2-0 In Preseason

“At halftime we talked to him, he was getting a little stiff, so we made a decision to go with Sean”, Fisher said, referring to third-string quarterback Sean Mannion, who engineered the Rams’ comeback victory by throwing three second-half touchdown passes, including two in the fourth quarter. In the receiving end, D’Anthony Thomas had 46 yards in 3 receptions while Mike Williams added 27 yards in two catches. “I was a little sluggish. It was a good drive and we scored”.

Goff, the No. 1 pick of this year’s National Football League draft, connected with Malcolm Brown for a 10-yard scoring pass with 10:30 remaining. He fumbled on his second play and Kansas City recovered.

“He lost the ball there, the three-step he took and they took it away”. “We’re going to let him play most of the third quarter”. The offensive line opened wide gaps for Rams running backs Todd Gurley, Benny Cunningham and Malcolm Brown, and on their first two series, the Rams rushed 10 times for 66 yards.

Rookie free agent receiver Nelson Spruce will miss the game because of a knee sprain, Fisher said. Second-year offensive tackle Isaiah Battle also missed the game with a knee injury.
