This is not the first time the Rams have been involved in a blockbuster trade such as this. There is a chance the Rams could parlay this pick into a lower pick to recoup some of that, but it’s too early to know if that’s the plan.

For My Take, the Rams sent the National Football League into a frenzy when they traded up for the number one pick. Indeed, they did get some good players.
With last year’s second overall pick, Oregon’s Marcus Mariota, entrenched at quarterback the Titans were not in the running for the top passers in the draft. Most of Los Angeles was spending that day focused on Bryant’s final game with the Los Angeles Lakers, a night that turned into a spectacle when Bryant dropped 60 points on the Utah Jazz.
The Rams are receiving: the Titans’ first round pick (1), fourth round pick (113) and sixth round pick (177). Bradford was eventually traded to Philadelphia in exchange for quarterback Nick Foles.
From that perspective, Jones may side more with the Titans than the Rams on this one, and the Titans would love to use their stockpile of picks to create the same success. General manager Jon Robinson, hired in January, is looking to rebuild a franchise that has a 5-27 win-loss record over the past two seasons. “We appreciate his commitment as we continue to improve our roster and lay the foundation for our future through this year’s draft”.
He noted Thursday that the extra picks give him more flexibility. What we gave up from a picks standpoint is obvious. You can make a convincing case for both.

Even should Los Angeles take Wentz off the board, the 49ers won’t likely be able to realize their goal of bringing the Bay Area kid-Jared Goff-to the team. It’s like a play call sheet. Moving back in the draft means their ideal player may not be available when they pick though, so they could elect to move in a different direction in the first round. If they ever let it be clearly known that they want Wentz or Goff, a team who wants the other guy would simply do a deal directly with Cleveland at No. 2.
