Rams owners Kroenke open to second National Football League team in Inglewood
One issue with the proposal is that while the second team would ostensibly be an equal partner in the stadium, it precludes that team from involvement in the surrounding development, stadium design and other facets that would certainly be points of contention.

The concession could break the stalemate between the Rams’ Inglewood stadium proposal and the one jointly pitched for Carson by the Oakland Raiders and San Diego Chargers.
According to the report, the second team team would share construction costs but realize only game-day revenue.
There is no certain answer as to what’s going on in the NFL’s relocation process, but the fact that Rams owner Stan Kroenke has reportedly offered a deal to either the Chargers or Raiders could have major implications on how this plays out.
They are three of the NFL’s six owners on the Los Angeles committee. All three franchises are seeking stadium solutions in their current home market.
Representatives of the San Diego Chargers and Oakland Raiders, who have proposed a competing stadium plan in Carson, Calif., were not immediately available to comment.
“We want to get something done in January”, Houston Texans owner Bob McNair said Wednesday. While the Chargers and Raiders have their own proposed joint stadium in Carson, Calif., this does add a new wrinkle to a team possibly relocating to Los Angeles. New York Giants owner John Mara tells the San Diego Times Union, “This needs to get done”.
The NFL has not had a presence in Los Angeles since 1994.
Kroenke wants to build a $1.86 billion, 80,000-seat stadium in Inglewood on land he owns on the old Hollywood Park site.
