It said the applications would be reviewed by league staff and three league committees meeting in NY on Wednesday and Thursday.

Oakland: “In accordance with the relocation policies, the Oakland Raiders submitted a relocation package to the NFL”.

He said the applications then will be presented for consideration at a meeting of all team owners in Houston on January 12 and 13.

The article above was released by the National Football League.

“Whatever the decision of the owners is, we will abide by”, he said.

The application sounds more like a legal document when it veers into discussion about the Rams’ lease at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis and why the team thinks it is free to move.

“We’re back here and we’re gonna be here for the next year for sure and we’ll look at all the possibilities obviously with the city an see what our alternatives could be”, Spanos said.

Not only are the Rams trying to do their own real estate deal, but they’d also like you to know that their competitors aren’t in a good neighborhood and that their old house is full of leaks.

A 29-page document obtained Tuesday by the Los Angeles Times lays out the team’s rationale for why it should be able to leave St. Louis and how it believes such a move would ultimately strengthen the NFL. To assuage concerns about hypocrisy, the Rams state that the three million square foot stadium would provide ample space for both home teams to operate freely, complete with identical locker rooms, offices, and owner suites. One of the lawmakers that declined to sign was House Minority Leader Jake Hummel, a St. Louis Democrat who contends Nixon has the authority to issue bonds on the project.

During their time in front of the committees, the teams seeking to move are expecting to answer detailed questions about their respective projects, including queries about potential problems each project might encounter.

The Chargers have pledged to respect the League owners’ final decision. “We have a spectacular stadium proposal that delivers the certainty the National Football League has asked for, and we are and will continue to be an excellent home for the St. Louis Rams”.

The Chargers, who have played in San Diego for 55 seasons, announced the filing Monday night. “We are sad to have reached this point”.

St. Louis’ $1.1 billion stadium proposal is the only local effort, however, to finish planning in 2015.

Still, in other parts of the interview on the team’s website, Spanos inferred that the Chargers are all but gone from San Diego.

The Chargers want to partner with the AFC West rival Raiders on a stadium in Carson. “We suspect the Raiders will be one of those teams, and we have to consider opportunities that have been put forward by the markets in Oakland, St. Louis and San Diego for their teams to stay”. The statement also cites overwhelming support among fans for the Rams’ return; the statement claims that the Rams have more support for relocation than the Raiders and Chargers combined. Only teams that are approved to move would be required to pay the fee.
