Rams say Eric Dickerson is always welcome on their sideline

It doesn’t bode well for the Rams, who are limping to the finish line, but it’s even worse that Fisher doesn’t know the players his team is taking on. “It was different than any team in the National Football League”.

Los Angeles Rams coach Jeff Fisher has definitely done some stupid things during his mediocre coaching career. Fisher hasn’t won a playoff game since the 2003 season.

The Los Angeles Rams next opponent is the New England Patriots. “He’s a Hall of Famer”, Fisher said.

“This happened about 10 days ago”, began Dickerson.

This all came up because Dickerson asked management for sideline tickets to a Rams’ game so him and some of his friends could attend at the Coliseum. “Players, coaches and staff – he has their complete respect in the way he runs the franchise”.

The Rams had high expectations this season, the team’s first back in Los Angeles following 21 seasons in St. Louis.

The dustup flared Monday after Dickerson revealed some of the back story on his radio show. Neither owner Stan Kroenke nor top executive Kevin Demoff has said publicly that Fisher has a new deal.

“That’s not us”, he said, “and that’s not what we’re about”. Fisher spoke openly Tuesday and said he didn’t begrudge Dickerson’s comments, but resisted the actions that followed.

“So I don’t know where that’s coming from”, Fisher said. I’d love to have him come in the meetings.

So far, so good, but then things got pretty shaky. “I thanked him for having the guts to call me”.

Eric Dickerson is one of the most iconic players in Los Angeles Rams history. That’s not my job. I don’t want to hurt my players but I have to say what I see. You think they’re anxious about that? There is a “Danny” on the Patriots’ roster, but Danny Amendola is definitely a wide receiver. “As I told you guys before, I don’t look over my shoulder”.

“I opened everything to Eric”.

“He’s always welcomed”, continued Fisher. I just listened. I said, ‘Jeff, I’m going to say this much to you. “We all share his love for our team [and] our fans”.

Players said they expected the situation to be resolved – “Eventually, they’ll hash it out”, defensive lineman William Hayes said – and that it was not a distraction. You can go back to Tennessee, you can go to Cleveland, you can go to SC. “It doesn’t affect us”, Rams safety T.J.

The “7-9 bull–” quote becoming emblematic of the Rams in 2016 encapsulates every fear coaches have of letting cameras into the building.

And with that, the Rams are the only team in the National Football League that seems unconcerned about the whole “winning” thing. And you’ve got playmakers all around. There’s nothing wrong with having a voice. It’s just unfortunate all this frustration came out on each other.
