At the two-minute warning, the game was delayed due to weather.
It marked the second straight time the Rams had been faced with a delay for a game at Raymond James Stadium. Just as Keenum made history on his opening drive, he also made history with the interception for a touchdown, which was the first time that had happened to the LA Rams since November 27, 1994. Luckily the Rams weathered the storm and were able to get a final stop as the Buccaneers had a chance to win the game late.
“I was just trying to bait them, get closer to the end zone, ” Winston said. That’s not where quarterback Jameis Winston wants his team to be.
During the latest break, Rams middle linebacker Alec Ogletree said his team simply hydrated, stayed loose and regrouped. “I know the offense wanted to be out there, but it didn’t happen so it was our turn to step up and end the game”. The Rams’ defense shut out the Buccaneers for nearly two full quarters until Tampa Bay scored with 8:55 left in the fourth quarter. “The next thing to do is come out and play another big game on the road”.
