Rams Will Not Be Penalized For Case Keenum’s Concussion

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Rams will not be penalized for mishandling Case Keenum’s concussion last week against the Ravens.

Fisher said there are some more tests for Keenum to clear the concussion protocol and those will be administered on Saturday.

Keenum, 27, was thrown down by Baltimore Ravens defensive lineman Timmy Jernigan and struggled to get back to his feet after clutching his head immediately after it bounced off the turf. “This includes players, officials, the ATC and team medical staff”.

He stayed in the game, and two plays later a clearly dazed Keenum fumbled the ball on a sack.

He also added that the trainer spoke to Keenum, who said he was OK, per Seifert. So, the league’s gathering information and we’re looking at the system under which we operate right now to see if there’s anything we can do to where we avoid that kind of situation that happened to Case. If that’s what they want to do, I’m going to be the same Nick and hopefully just play better.

After a one-week hiatus, it appears Rams quarterback Nick Foles will regain his starting spot. If the Redskins wind up as the team that plays the Rams at Twickenham next season, it will mark the first time the same National Football League team played in London in two straight weeks.
