Rams Win Their First Game In Los Angeles
It’s still a long season and a first loss, no matter how disturbing, has never canceled a team’s Super Bowl opportunity (until the playoffs; sorry Patriots).

He probably could have just given a game ball to the entire defense, but kicker Greg Zuerlein was definitely deserving after going 3-for-3 on field goal attempts. Instead, the Rams’ defense decided it with an effort that showed Los Angeles (1-1) can win this season even without much of an offense. “I’m trying to get in the end zone and I’m trying to play better and better”. “And so to come back like this is good for morale and good for our confidence”.
Soaring temperatures contributed to at least 158 heat-related medical calls at the Los Angeles Rams-Seattle Seahawks game at the Memorial Coliseum, authorities said.
The Seattle Seahawks know how to put the “loss” in Los Angeles, as T.J. Simers might say. “When we come home, we win”.
They tossed footballs, cooked hot dogs and cheeseburgers on their portable grills and reminisced about the good old days before the Rams departed following the 1994 campaign.
The Los Angeles Rams won their first game in their new home city Sunday, stunning the Seattle Seahawks with a 9-3 win.
“It kind of happened all so fast”, said Ogletree of the fumble recovery.
“I saw [Wilson] check it down and I just ran down there”. I don’t think we’ve had that many in a year maybe. “We’re just one or two plays away”.
“We have to not have offensive pass interference penalties”, he said.
“It was just a great play by those guys”, Michael said. “He looks to be like a tremendous factor for us. I just got to do better, hold on to the ball in those situations”. Ogletree recorded eight tackles only to be outdone by safety Mark Barron who had 11 tackles on the night.
Seattle racked up 10 penalties for 114 yards; the Rams had nine penalties for 78 yards.
Instead, Week 2 only brought more offensive frustration.
Wilson was 22 of 35 for 254 yards, getting sacked twice.
MAKING A CASE: After a disastrous season opener at San Francisco, Keenum improved in his second start of the season, going 18 of 30 for 239 yards without an interception. He was sacked three times. “I think so”, the coach said. Sometimes a small tweak can foster substantial results, as when Patrick Lewis replaced Drew Nowak at center previous year and Wilson’s sacks dropped drastically, from 31 in the first seven games to seven in the next six.
RIVALRY RULES: The Rams haven’t made the playoffs since 2004, but they’ve beaten title-contending Seattle in four of the NFC West rivals’ last five meetings, including three straight.

“Well we feel like we missed a big opportunity yesterday in a real close game, to not find a way to get ahead of that and get the win, in what was a big day for the league and Southern California and all that”. (“At last”-remember when we were annoyed the week off arrived so early in the calendar?) If Russell Wilson and the suddenly-brittle offense can get rehabilitated by then, or during the break, there may be a chance to see the powerhouse team we spectators envisioned for the remaining 12 games”. Kicker Greg Zuerlein was a flawless 3/3 on field goal attempts with a 47-yard long field goal coming in the fourth quarter.
