Randgold Resources third quarter profit slips despite record production

Revenue, however, increased 1.2% to $251 million in the third quarter, compared with the previous quarter, as gold output rose 1.7% to 305,288 troy ounces during the period, moer than offsetting a 6% decline in achieved gold prices.
