Randy Orton Rematch Happening At A WWE Live Event
Both superstars debuted in 2002, but interestingly, never managed to cross paths and feud with one another. In what was confusing to many, Lesnar gained the advantage for a great portion of the match, and ended the contest with sharp elbow strikes to the head of Orton, legitimately busting him open and leaving a pool of his blood on the ring. Probably, the upcoming match with Orton is to culminate the feud between Shane and Lesnar.

WWE made a decision to put Lesnar on the live event instead of the September 25th Clash of Champions pay-per-view from Indianapolis because his contract calls for different pay for live events than for pay-per-view events, which typically feature longer main event quality matches as opposed to quick squash matches. Apparently, WWE has an answer to it.
The PPV matches are much lengthier and most of the times competed in the main event capacity. The reason behind the same is the less quality matches in the house shows. WWE also promoted the event that will take place at the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois on Saturday, Sept 24.
Meltzer also stated that Brock was able to choose his opponent for the show and chose Orton since they just had their controversial match at SummerSlam.

Whether WWE actually shows any footage from this event is the burning question. However, two straight losses to the beast would harm his calibre as the top draw from Smackdown Live.
