It didn’t look like they were going to, as they started by going back-and-forth trading barbs about maybe dishing out RKO’s and Codebreakers and some comedy. However, Orton had some verbal jabs that cut deeper than any suplex. Orton retaliates by saying that he was looking to make history and make it epic but jokes that he could have came back and faced Fandango.
While cutting a promo on Suplex City vs. Viperland, Orton teased a RKO to Lesnar and said, “No enhancement needed”. And then he literally dropped the mic.
Orton comments brought a wry smile to Jericho’s face who told Orton he would pay for that comment. The two poked fun at the “outta nowhere” phrase, then Jericho caught Orton up on the recent happenings in the WWE. Orton’s music hits and out he comes to a big pop. Jericho says a lot has changed since Orton went down with an injury.
Ironically, Orton has violated the WWE’s Wellness Policy twice over the course of his career. “I’ve won Money in the Bank, main-evented WrestleMania, I was in 12 consecutive WrestleManias until this last year with the shoulder surgery”, Orton told Booker.”It’s getting that WrestleMania match that everybody talks about for years and years and years”. Sunday night is also about the return of The Viper, Randy Orton.
