[UPDATE 2] – According to Chris Cotillo of MLB Daily Dish, the recipient of the punch, Jose Bautista, will receive a one-game suspension.

Fines were expected to be handed out on both sides, while Odor was expected to be suspended for punching Bautista.
Texas Rangers’ Rougned Odor gestures prior to a baseball game against the Oakland Athletics, Monday, May 16, 2016, in Oakland, Calif.
Fines were given to Rangers pitchers Matt Bush, Sam Dyson, and A.J. Griffin; catcher Robinson Chirinos; and Buechele.
Ever since Rougned Odor of the Texas Rangers delivered one of the cleanest punches in baseball history on Sunday, it’s drawn major publicity to the MLB. “I just play the game to win games”, Odor said. “He was also fined $5,000, according to Yahoo Sports” Jeff Passan.
Meanwhile, Blue Jays manager John Gibbons told reporters on Tuesday that he has been suspended for three games and is facing a $5,000 fine for returning to the field after being ejected from Sunday’s game.
“I think you see what happened”, Odor said. Gibbons came out on the field during the fight despite having previously been ejected, so he’s nearly certain to get a suspension.
Hale will serve as Blue Jays manager for the duration of Gibbons’s suspension. “I thought it was pretty cowardly of them too to wait until my last at-bat to do that in the whole series”, Bautista said after the game.
Many are trying to determine the penalty Odor will face with some believing it could be as high as a 10-game suspension.
Bautista was one of four players who received suspensions.
Odor will appeal his suspension and remains eligible to play until the appeal is heard or he drops it.
“I wish I struck out Pillar and not given up a run, ” said Bush, who made his big league debut last week. In the last regular-season game between the teams this year, Bush opened the eighth inning with a 96 miles per hour fastball that hit Bautista on the left arm and ricocheted off a thigh.
