Ranieri Braces Leicester for Big Team Backlash
Speaking to Sky Sports Ranieri, who received a guard of honour from his former club before kick off, said: “The emotion is fantastic. Other clubs are knocking on the door and having more finances, and maybe with some smart recruiting, I don’t think it’s now a done deal that the four established clubs from the past are the four established clubs for the future”, said the Dutchman.

“Although he is 35, he’s still physically and mentally very fit so he can contribute a lot wherever he wants to play”.
Before discussing his current situation, Terry was full of praise for former manager Claudio Ranieri and his unbelievable achievement of guiding Leicester City to the title, while also taking a swipe at Tottenham by saying he’s glad they didn’t become champions.
“Chelsea is my life, just like it is yours”.
It led Terry to continue in what also felt a little like a farewell address.
“For me, it was better to put him in the squad. I can say we were so consistent during all the season, and the other teams not”, he added.
“Home and away the fans have been brilliant”.
Ranieri said: “After we have a break”. From Roman Abramovich, then from all our fans and all the Chelsea fans.
“It was an unbelievable moment for me, at the beginning (of the game), also at the end”.
At the end the tears came as he spoke on the pitch.
Ranieri was popular during his time at the Bridge and many were sad to see him leave. Every time he came out of his technical area or appeared on the big screen he was cheered by both sets of supporters who appreciate the job he has done for his current employers this season.
Leicester are enjoying a honeymoon with the entire Premier League and this game was no exception.
“If you’d said that at the start of the season everyone would be saying “no chance”.
Fabregas had earlier given his team the lead from the penalty spot after Nemanja Matic had been fouled in the area by Leicester substitute Jeffrey Schlupp. I played very few times with the three midfielders. “That was one key for us, one of our strengths”. “I hope we are ready not just to listen to the music, but to make some music”.

“It will be a very good atmosphere with the (Champions League) music”.
