Ranieri claims Arsenal’s season would be a ‘disaster’ without Premier League title
The pressure is on for outgoing manager Manuel Pellegrini and coupled with a growing injury list that includes the likes of key players Vincent Kompany, Kevin de Bruyne and the latest being David Silva, these are tough times for the Citizens.

The Premier League’s big clubs need to worry about China, not Leicester City, Claudio Ranieri warned before taking his league-leading team to Arsenal for the clash of first versus third.
“People want to put pressure on us because at the beginning they said: “OK Leicester sooner or later will drop go down”.
“The pressure is on the other teams”.
“The money and the big gap?” And I will tell you there will be more and more down there.
Talking to BBC Sport, Leicester forward Riyad Mahrez said: “We’re just going to keep dreaming, We’re going to fight for the title and see what we can do”. Nobody wake us up, please.
It could prove to be a pivotal weekend in the Premier League, with our game against Leicester followed up by Tottenham’s trip to Manchester City on Sunday afternoon.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says rotation was the reason why Per Mertesacker did not feature against Bournemouth last week.
Meanwhile, Leicester City are in dreamland.
He was also the man in charge when we lost 6-3 away to Man City, with all those dodgy offside calls denying us goals if you remember.
And Wenger feels the long journey to the top has its own reward for a player and feels it gives them a different hunger than those who have spent their entire career at a high level.
“…once you are top of the league, you can also think about losing what you have”. I think it’s like a little bit, you are at home, you use electricity, and you have no choice. “I can’t count on them in the next three or four weeks but everybody else yes [I will count on them]”.
Speaking on BT Sport, Owen explained to Robbie Savage and Darren Fletcher why he would choose to play for Liverpool or Manchester United over Leicester, even if they win the league this season.
Apart from that, only three players remain unavailable and one of them, Danny Welbeck, is “very close” to a return according to Wenger.
Wenger has said that Gabriel Paulista still hasn’t learned enough English to be a vocal leader on the pitch, leaving Petr Cech to organise the back four when Per Mertesacker doesn’t play.

Leicester were bottom of the Premier League when they met Arsenal at this exact stage of last season. The result from both games could change the entire dynamic of the league table, but we have to focus on ourselves and put in a strong performance against a team that should not be underestimated by any means.
