Ranieri cools comparisons between Vardy and Aguero
After playing a straight bat to a series of questions about Leicester’s title prospects, the 64-year-old was asked whether it was becoming more hard to play down their chances of winning the league as the weeks go by and they continue to set the pace.

Yet, 12 minutes later, the Fox in the Box was back for a league-leading 18th goal, netting from close range in front of Roy Hodgson, the England manager.
Robert Huth has two Barclays Premier League winners’ medals from his Chelsea days and Gokhan Inler has won the Swiss Super League twice but it is new territory for the majority of the Leicester dressing room.
Leicester striker Jamie Vardy has scored from outside the penalty area for the first time in the Premier League.
“Manchester City are built to win the title and fight for the Champions League”.
Leicester City will come up against a team of “magicians” when they visit Manchester City in their top-of-the-table clash on Saturday, according to manager Claudio Ranieri.
“It was an unbelievable pass from Riyad Mahrez and unbelievable what Vardy did”, Leicester boss Ranieri said of the opening goal.
Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini dropped the boring toga that has been likened to him in his Friday’s pre-match press conferences but insists the talk must be on the club’s Premier League hunt as well as other titles.

Even Vardy had to concede on Sky Sports: “To be fair, I don’t think I’ve scored a better goal than that”. “He watched the ball arriving, watched the opponent and watched the ‘keeper. But a goal is a goal and more importantly it’s a win for the club”, Vardy was quoted saying in the Daily Mirror. This will be a test for them and I think they will show some character here. “I can not say something every week about it”, said Guardiola, who rejected a contract extension with Bayern previous year.
“We need to make ourselves hard to beat and that’s what we did”, Clichy said.
“I hope we don’t feel the pressure because it’s the first time we have been here”.
Despite the stakes, Ranieri was bullish when asked if the match would be an open encounter, Ranieri was adamant that both teams will go for all three points rather than play defensively.
