Ranieri gives Leicester players NYE pass
After the 0-0 draw against Manchester City, Leicester City coach Claudio Ranieri said that nobody wants to win the Premier League. They have had two attempts to surpass that without success so far, but they will enter Saturday’s match as heavy favourites, and only one more point is needed before Leicester’s target shifts.

They have 39 in the bank already -an fantastic haul as Ranieri initially targeted 40 points over the whole season to ensure survival.
Ranieri brushed off concerns star duo Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez are running on empty after successive blanks.
Leicester survived the spell of pressure unscathed and finished the first half strongly.
Algeria winger Mahrez led Leicester’s response with a brilliant bicycle kick that flashed just over from Marc Albrighton’s cross.
Mahrez had much of the King Power Stadium on its feet in the 10th minute when his spectacular overhead volley flew just over the crossbar.
Man City begin the new year with games against eighth-placed Watford in the league, followed by trips to Everton for a League Cup match and to Norwich in the FA Cup – all within a week.
In the second half, Leicester took the game to their opponents, showing the fighting spirit which has become their trademark this season.
Bournemouth were undeterred by that moment of magic and Josh King should have put them ahead moment later when he headed tamely wide after Stanislas hooked a cross into the six-yard box. Vardy has got goal side and is going towards goal at full pace.
The Belgium global, 29, missed the goalless draw against Leicester on Tuesday night and Pellegrini revealed he will be out for at least another three to four weeks. However, goalkeepers Kasper Schmeichel and Joe Hart responded with tremendous saves.
Up against a midfield of Yaya Toure and Fernandinho, Inler relished the challenge, making four interceptions and four tackles, in each case the highest among the Leicester midfield.
The year of 2015 will finish with two joint leaders on top of the table.
Our live BT Sport game this week at Dens Park fell victim to the elements when Hurricane Frank left its mark. “It’s what we expect of ourselves and it’s the level we set every single day in training”. But I am not happy because we came here to try to win the game.
“We’re a very good team ourselves, we’ve proven that at the back end of last season and we’re halfway through this season and we’re still up there in the mix”. The individual players within that side are very effective.
“After that, if somebody has been better than us, we will accept it, but we want to fight to show that we have a chance”.

“When you have a chance to score and didn’t score that is not good but we reacted very well”.
