Ranieri: Leicester are everyone’s second team
With three games coming in quick succession, Tottenham has an opportunity to establish itself in the top four of the Premier League during the festive period.

The Reds are unbeaten in the last six league clashes since losing 2-0 at Filbert Street in March 2001, winning four and drawing twice.
– Leicester are only the second team in top-flight history to be bottom of the league at Christmas one season and top of that league on Christmas day the next, after Norwich City in 1987-88 (bottom) and 1988-89 (top).
Pellegrini said: “We need to focus game by game”.
“We know the capacity of Manchester City. We will let the media speculate but we are going to stay grounded and take one game at a time, and see how far we can go”, Morgan told British media. “If we don’t get anyone, we stick with the players we have”.
“Leicester is starting to build something fantastic and if they stay with us, they can contribute to something good”.
For Lovren, his speedy return is good news, as there were concerns that he might have suffered serious ligament damage when on the receiving end of a challenge by West Bromwich Albion midfielder Craig Gardner during a heated 2-2 draw at Anfield just under a fortnight ago.
Claudio Ranieri has revealed that he spent time with Jurgen Klopp, Pep Guardiola and Roger Schmidt as he recovered from his Greek tragedy.
In recent days, though, the Italian’s tone has changed as his team close in on their initial target of 40 points, the watermark tally traditionally required to avoid relegation. As for Leicester’s prospects of succeeding where his teams failed, Watson, now coaching at Macclesfield Town, believes they have a fighting chance because there is no team in the league “that scares you the way that United used to when we were at Newcastle, with Fergie and the quality they had”.
Leicester City have the Premier League’s two fastest players this season but it was not Jamie Vardy and Jeffrey Schlupp that their manager Claudio Ranieri mentioned when asked whether the surprise Premier League leaders could last the distance in the title race. We are like Forrest Gump.
“I am very confident because if Leicester last season saved themselves in the last two months that means the stamina is fantastic”, the 64-year-old said.
“It was a great game, we got a good result and now we have to look forward, there is still a lot of work to do”.
ARSENAL FORWARD Joel Campbell says Monday’s 2-1 win over Manchester City is a “big step” for the Gunners in their pursuit of the Premier League title.
